We've had nearly everything go wrong that could go wrong here - people leaving, people having to miss days, bad luck, more people leaving and/or having to miss a day. To everyone who stuck by it - thank you so much, this kill was a long time coming. After getting him to 45% or so and having repops, seeing most of the raid wanting to stick around and finish him off made me as happy as a bloodthirsty killer wanting a head on pike can be.

Congrats to Shyeera, Gara, Gregil, myself(wooo!) and Amnarak, who was rewarded for somehow managing to not wipe us with epic Magtheridon head and a night on the couch from Nellenya.

In a stunning night of raid daring-do, BotB managed TWO firsts in our short raiding history - not only did we down Gruul for the first time, but we also had our first Maulgar one shot. It was this smooth, easy kill that possibly lead to our triumphant victory over that notorious gronn-pimp and his drool.

First drops off Gruul were two sets of Tier 4 leggings going to Brennh and Kaetalia respectively, Collar of Cho'gall for Korrelinn, as well as Cathragh getting the Gauntlets of the Dragonslayer.

Great work to everyone in Bane, I'm sure we're all going to spend the next couple of days picking rocks out of our teeth.

Hot on the heels of Warden's Reprise, Bane of the Betrayer has ripped Maulgar and the Ogre Council to shreds. I'm getting uncomfirmed reports that Gruul was seen hiding in a corner crying, "No. No. Me no betray."

Congratulations to everyone who made Bane's success possible.

Our first trip into Gruul's Lair when half our raid isn't DC'ing goes fairly well. We kinda forgot to take a killshot of Maulgar, but he sucks anyway. Congrats to Gerrex on Justicar Shoulders and Audren on his Hammer of the Naaru.

Our first time seeing Gruul went about as well for Gruul as it did for Maulgar. That being said, I wouldn't have wanted to see this guy pre-nerf. We did the 4.5 million HP version tonight, but considering the amount of shatter damage we were putting out, and Chesible deliberately following Kallindril around...
